Wu Shengli holds talks with general inspector of Norwegian Navy

　　Wu Shengli, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and commander of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, held talks with Bruun Hassen, the visiting general inspector of the Norwegian Navy on June 7 in Beijing.

　　Wu Shengli and Bruun Hassen held talks on such issues of common concern as further strengthening the high-level mutual visits between the two navies, promoting the realization of the mutual visits of naval warships of the two countries and carrying out cooperation in naval escort. Wu Shengli said that the relations between the Chinese and Norwegian navies advanced steadily in recent years and as a result the understanding between the two militaries, especially between the two navies, were strengthened. He hoped to further boost the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

　　Bruun Hassen said that the Norwegian side was willing to push forward the friendly ties between the two navies and try to promote the pragmatic cooperation between the two navies in a multiple of fields.

　　Bruun Hassen visited China at the invitation of Wu Shengli. This is the first time for the general inspector of the Norwegian Navy to visit China.
